Using Pointaloud

You may install Pointaloud on Macs you own or control. Your license key is for you; please don't share or resell it.

Free plan

Reading with the Apple voices on your Mac is free, with every feature, for as long as you use Pointaloud. Only premium voices need a subscription.

Subscriptions

• Plus is $9.99 a month or $79 a year. Plus Max is $24.99 a month or $249 a year. Prices may include or add sales tax depending on where you live.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in the app (Settings, then Manage subscription); it stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• If we change a price, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

Premium voice time

• Plus includes 5 hours of premium voices a month and Plus Max 15 hours, counted as about 900 characters a minute. Unused time does not roll over.
• Extra hours are one-time purchases. They do not expire while Pointaloud offers premium voices, and they are used only after your monthly hours.
• Premium voices are provided by ElevenLabs. If they are unavailable, Pointaloud reads with your Apple voice.
• Premium voices are for listening to what you read. Please don't use them to make recordings to publish or sell, or to send automated requests.

What you can expect

We work hard to make Pointaloud read the right words in the right order, but it is provided as it is, without a promise that it will work in every app or never make a mistake. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

Ending

You can stop using Pointaloud at any time. We may end access for anyone who abuses the service, for example by sharing license keys or sending automated requests, and will refund any unused prepaid period when we do.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too, and big changes will be announced in the app.
